Like Father Like Son – Synopsis
Like father Like Son is a comedy with a very strong storyline and features actors such as the indomitable Maxwell Grant, the immensely popular Garfield Reid, the youthful and energetic Stede Flash, the multifaceted Keith “Shebada” Ramsay, Dainty Bellanfante, Abigail Grant, Vaneshia Rowe, Ramona Miller and Shermane Wisdom. The play is written and directed by Paul O. Beale of the Unda Mi Nose series, Granny Rule and the Maama Man series. It is considered one of Beale’s best works to date and with this vibrant cast the play is sizzling.

Like Father Like Son, is the story of the similarities between Mr. Eviction and his two sons. Trevor (Garfield Reid) is an ambitious producer who compromises his professional obligations when he falls in love with his lyricist, Winsome (Ramona Miller). Trevor later becomes the target of jealousy from a number of his female artistes with whom he is romantically involved. This professional misalignment not only sets up an imminent business disaster, but leads to a social debacle of volcanic proportions. Trevor’s brother, Jooky Jam (Stede Flash) romantic exploits 38,000 feet up may have brought his days as a commercial airline pilot seems to an abrupt end. His wife, Nicole (Dainty Bellanfante) is far from being amused and is now taking steps to ensure that her husband returns to earthy realities.

So what of Daddy Eviction (Maxwell Grant)? He is looking down the barrel of retirement and needs someone to manage his recently transformed wholesale grocery business. Here comes Heartbeat (Keith Ramsey) to the rescue. He however, has taken on far more responsibilities than his job description suggests and now finds himself in the middle of numerous conflicts.

Like Father Like Son, is a genuine Jamaican comedy that is hyper-juiced with laughter and spiced with original music and energetic performances. As the mother of all comedies, it is good for the family and a must see for everyone.
